Call me cap'n Jack Wilshere: Youngster dreams of armband

ARSENAL youngster Jack Wilshere would one day love to captain the club.

The midfielder, 18, is enjoying a breakthrough season having spent time on loan at Bolton last term.

Spain international Cesc Fabregas is the clubs current skipper and Wilshere is full of admiration for the talented playmaker.

Wilshere (left) looks up to the former Barcelona youth star and is eager to follow in his footsteps.

Hes great to me, always has been, Wilshere said. I think he looks at me and thinks, Yeah, Ive done that.

From when I was 16 he was automatically someone look up to.

That is especially true for me, being the type of player I am and the position I play in.

Hes a great leader and I want to be like that when Im older.

Its always been part of my game, and thats my aim really, to be Arsenal captain one day.
