Arsene Wenger: I'd love to sign David Beckham
ARSENE Wenger last night admitted he would love to sign David Beckham.
Beckham is looking for a loan move next month, putting Premier League bosses on alert.
The former England captain will not be joining AC Milan as he had done for the past two seasons.
Beckahm trained with the Gunners two years ago during the American season.
He insisted he would only return to the Premier League to join his old club Manchester United, who do not want him back.

But Wenger said he would love to see Beckham in the red of Arsenal instead. He said: I love David Beckham and when was here he was a fantastic example on the professional side. He was the fi rst in and the last out.
The stumbling block is that Wenger already has a squad with plenty of cover in midfi elder. Its in an area where we do not need players, he said. We have Theo Walcott, Samir Nasri, Tomas Rosicky, Andrey Arshavin, Carlos Vela, Emmanuel Eboue who can play on the fl anks. I cannot sign anybody in January in the department where he plays.
! T hat would change if Arsenal suffered injuries over the hectic festive programme, with Wenger sure to prioritise a move for a player who is keen to continue playing at the highest level in bid to extend his international
career.
Meanwhile, Wenger hit back at Nani, the Manchester United star who dismissed Arsenals title hopes, claiming only United or Chelsea can be champions.
Wenger said: Everybody has a different opinion. We live in a society where everybody knows everything.
But I dont know who will win the league. I managed 1,600 games so if Nani knows he must be 1,600 times more intelligent than I am!
