Must watch: Is Kevin Pietersen a Jedi?

Must watch: Is Kevin Pietersen a Jedi?, editors choiceIn an early scene of Star Wars: A New Hope, Luke Skywalker wears a helmet with the visor down, effectively blinding himself, before defending himself against shots using his lightsaber. He achieves this by feeling the force so the story goes.

So when this video of Kevin Pietersen appeared, in which he puts on a blindfold before proceeding to wallop cricket balls out of the park, is there any other explanation than that KP can feel the force too? I cant think of a better one

If youre more of a Han Solo, and prefer to deal in facts, Opta have released some interesting statistics concerning Englands batsmen:

* Andrew Strauss is the only England batsman to have scored more runs behind square than in front

* Kevin Pietersen has scored 60 per cent of his runs on the leg side in the last two years. This is more than any of Englands eight batsmen in the squad. 36 per cent have been in front of square on the leg side

* Matt Prior and Eoin Morgan are the only English batsmen who score more runs on the off side than the leg side.

* Matt Prior has scored 30 per cent of his runs behind square on the off side. By way of comparison Kevin Pietersen has scored just 11 per cent of his runs in this zone.
