Everything and anything

Been a bit busy with university lately and havent been able to post regularly. So I am pausing for thought now on a variety of issues, probably none in detail, but hopefully vaguely interesting to read.

Shaun covered the midweek Carling Cup match against Wolves where we once again had to worship at the expanding altar that is Chicharito. While Rooney is somewhere next to the pool at a Dubai hotel, this little Mexican star has really been proving his worth. Hes coped well with a transition to English football and the pressure just doesnt seem to faze him, he just responds perfectly to it, just like Ole Solskjaer used to. You can see many similarities between them (though as much as I love Solskjaer I will concede that Chicharito is probably a little bit quicker). Just hope now that people dont expect too much of him, he is still young, but as none of us knew who he was before we signed him, we can only look at him with pleasant surprise.

Difficult game at home against Tottenham today. Can expect everyone who was rested for the Wolves match to push for places to get some points rolling on the league table. Hopefully the defence can stay solid, with the recently-turned-40 Van der Sar guiding them. He hasnt been perfect this season, but still appreciate his presence every time the ball is somewhere near the penalty box.
The battle to watch out for will be Bale vs Nani. Both in great form, both love to run with the ball, both score and both create. Will be interesting to see who wins that tussle. I am going to predict a United win, narrowly, so I will say 2-1.

In other news, United have been drawn against West Ham away in the Carling Cup quarter finals. Happy with that, just didnt want to play Arsenal.

Will leave you with Chicharitos goal from midweek, keeps everyone smiling for a while
