Chelsea chief Gourlay: Drogba not for sale

Chelsea chief Ron Gourlay insists Didier Drogba is not leaving Stamford Bridge.The Ivory Coast forward had been linked with a move to Manchester City by the player's agent.But Gourlay said: "Didier will be a Chelsea player next year. Didier is under contract."The thing about this time of year is we always get (this). For our players to be in the news - it's normal."But Didier Drogba will be a Chelsea player next year."

Exclusive picture: New Arsenal home kit revealed

Arsenal have revealed their new home kit for the 2010-11 season - and MirrorFootball has this exclusive first picture of Thomas Vermaelen wearing the retro-style Nike shirt. The classic design has already proved a big hit with the big Belgian defender. “I really like this new kit. It’s the typical colours for Arsenal, white and red, and it’s really nice. Every club has their own traditional colours. For Arsenal it’s red and white and that’s the way it’s supposed to be.” If the kit's '70s-styled design is traditional, then the technology behind it is cutting edge. Every shirt is made entirely from recycled polyester, crafted from up to eight plastic water bottles as part of Nike’s ‘Considered Design’ programme, which sees discarded plastic bottles diverted from landfills to be used in the manufacturing process.
