Gyeongnams Cho named South Korea coach

Gyeongnam FC head coach Cho Kwang-rae has been appointed as the new manager of the South Korean national team.Cho was yesterday heavily linked with the job and now Xinhua newsagency has reported that he has been installed as Huh Jung-moos replacement.The Korean Football Association have been searching for a new boss since Huh stepped down after the World Cup and former national team midfielder Cho has emerged as the man to take the reins.Cho currently has Gyeongnam in fourth place on the K-League table with seven wins from 12 matches. His first major project with the Taeguk Warriors will be the 2011 Asian Cup in January in Doha, Qatar.
