Fulham reject second Arsenal bid for Schwarzer

Arsenal have had a second bid for goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer rejected by Fulham .The Cottagers are playing hard ball as the Gunners failed to return with a renewed offer on their original 2million.Reports suggest the Gunners were confident of completing a deal for the 37-year old Australian, especially after he handed in a transfer request, but it seems that Fulham are keen to either keep him or at least get a better sum if he is to leave. With this latest event, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger may now turn to Manchester City stopper Shay Given who has clearly expressed interest at leaving Eastlands.
